Here’s another one from that distant shot 12/1/12 show. According to Discogs, Permanent Ruin were an American hardcore band from San Jose, California. They had a few releases on small labels in the early to mid-2010’s. Members were Federico Avila, Jason Brownstein, Jose Ramirez, Mariam Bastani, Rich Gutierrez. Not sure which lineup this is.

I am so grateful for the Pat Wright collection of videos- glad that this new schedule of 1 video collections post per day speeds up posting his stuff, because there is a LOT!
That said, this and the post from 2 weeks ago are probably some of the worst of Pat’s collection. He had not mounted the camera on the heater platform yet, so it is very distant in the back left corner of the club. Add to that the fact that RAD (and Crude Studs a couple weeks back) played on the floor with no lights, and you get this. I can still make out who the band is, so I guess it’s watchable/listenable

I saw some folks wishing our departed friend Bobby Khan a happy birthday recently, so I decided to post a video of the band he was in when they played at Gilman. This is from Pat Wright’s huge collection of Gilman videos. The band played on the floor so don’t expect mush as far as quality.. or lighting. In fact, I was not even sure that this was Crude Studs until I saw Bobby’s trademark 3/4 sleeve blank baseball shirt in the dark on the left, and Nich Lujan’s trademark cap on the right. Haha. R.I.P. Bobby, I miss talking about the old Metal days with you.
