I was surprised that this one wasn’t on YT yet. This is another one from Mark Martin’s collection before he sold it to me in the mid-1980’s. It probably came from Ron Quintana or one of the bay area metal traders. Sounds pretty good- enjoy!
This is another show from Doug’s collection that sounds pretty damned good. I was a big fan of Bitch early on- I had the Damnation Alley EP and Be My Slave LP- both are really great. Keep in mind that their EP was released a year before Metallica and Slayer’s first releases… they were up in the running for heaviest US band there for a bit, imho.

I don’t usually do “on this day” posts since I am not that organized, but I had this one already digitized so why not. This is Saxon’s first show in SF- I was just a bit too young to make this one. I caught them in 1984 on that Saxon/Accept tour, when they were touring Crusader. I would have preferred to see this set… I think this one was taped by Verne Inhel- sounds like a Sony D3 recording. Very nice! PS: If you want to hear a bunch of Verne’s recordings, head over to “Lord Pryderi’s ~ Metal History channel” on youtube. Great stuff, but typically only 3 songs from a show. So here is the full set of this one. From Wayne Vanderkuil’s collection. He got this from Brian Lew, who probably got it from the record vauly.
