Bear’s City Rockers- Cafe Colonial, Sacramento Ca. 5/6/16 Sacramento Musicians doing US Bombs set!

For Bear Williams’ birthday, Joe Mckinney, Corey Weigert, Jordan Wolfe and Bear Williams got together to play a fun US Bombs set. Bear definitely has a lot of energy as a frontman! FIlmed with the Canon HFG30 and Rode Video Pro Stereo Mic.

Knockoffs- Cafe Colonial, Sacramento Ca. 5/6/16 Part 1 Canon HFG30 and Rode Video Pro Stereo Mic

Well, I uploaded this to youtube 3 weeks ago and forgot I did it, then just wasted 3 hours uploading it again. Duh. This show was great because there was this overzealous “fan” who was swinging her budweiser bottle around, soaking people with beer. Then she tried to start a pit without regard for others and was running into everyone. Words were exchanged, and she left. The whole thing was just odd, but memorable. Great set by the knockoffs- the first half of this show (pre-bud mosher) was the tightest I had ever heard them. I guess playing all those new songs over and over in the studio doesn’t hurt. 🙂

Globs- Spectre Records, Reno Nv. 5/1/16 Sacramento Punk Charles Albright Bananas pt. 1

I’ve had multiple requests to post this one. I guess there is very little out there by them. Features members of The Banans, Charles Albright, and Little Tents. Sorry about the vocals being nonexistent. The only good video angle was behind the PA. I am trying to get better audio to synch up with the video.

The Freeze- Jub Jub’s Thirst Parlor, Reno Nv. 5/1/16 Multicam Boston Punk Hardcore

Boston legends The Freeze ended thri first US tour ever (together almost 40 years, first national tour) in Reno. Since they did not make a stop in Sac or SF, I drove up to Reno. I was able to talk to Clif before the show and that is always a pleasure- he has SO many stories. Anyway, this was an interesting night. Jub Jub’s smaller room (they have 2) has brick walls and a ceiling that is about 30 feet high, which is a live audio recording nightmare. I ask the sound guy for soundboard access, and he points to a little blue light about 15 feet above the bar. “see that? that’s the board. can’t get up there”. So, sorry to say that the audio is pretty bad. You can’t hear vocals for the first part of the show. It’s too bad, because it is a great show and all angles turned out nice. I hope you can enjoy regardless. It sounded just like it did that night… Filmed with 2 Canon HFG30 & 1 HFG10. Audio via rode video pro stereo mic. Thanks to Agelos for the excellent edit work!
