I don’t have much time so this one needs to be quick. Here is another one from the Turn it Around digitizing project, from Jason Ross’ collection. The gen is unknown but it is relatively low. It looks like only 1 song in inferior quality has made its way to YT so far.

Time for something from Robert Eggplant’s collection. I returned Robert’s tapes a couple weeks ago but there are still 100’s of his shows left to post. I need to go through and organize what has and has not been posted yet. Let’s do this one, since I know it hasn’t been posted yet. Unfortunately incomplete, but a nice board mix.

The coach house was a strange place. The entrance looks like the photo here, then you go down an entry hallway to the right, and there is the venue. It was a sit-down dinner type of thing, so it was always really hard to tape with people constantly hovering over you. I had recalled this tape being pretty awful but I just spot checked and it doesn’t suck. I’m sad that Arlo hung it up recently, but I got to see him a few times in the mid-90s and it was always a good time.

Last year, Lizz Fisher asked me if I wanted to be the keeper/steward of the Sacto Active Rock U-Matic master tapes. I could not say YES fast enough! Thank you so much, Lizz! Sacto Active Rock was a Sacramento Cable show in the early 90s and THE place to perform live in studio for the local Punk/Metal/Alternative/Ska scene. Background: A U-Matic tape is a very large videotape that was used as Television’s main format until digital came along. The players for these tapes are also massive- the one I have weighs over 81lbs! All of the Sacto Active Rock episodes that were posted before I got these were from VHS- either a copy from these tapes, or taped off cable TV. So this is an upgrade! Not only that, but there was never a VHS tape made for this particular performance, so this seems to be the first time this one is online and available to watch. Expect the rest of the episodes to be posted over time. Except for one certain blues man who wanted his pulled down because it doesn’t represent who he is now.

Here’s one for my friend Jim Utz for today’s “On This Day in History”. Thanks to Mike Siou for letting us know which show that Pavement and Stereolab performed encores together- I would have never found it without his help.
My list shows this as an EX- rated audience recording, but it is pretty clearly a board tape- I have a vague memory of being asked to list it as an audience tape due to the sensitivity of the tape. Because of that, I am only posting the 1 song encore. Sorry, I always post full sets but I don’t want old friends to be upset if the full set shows up on a bootleg. My DAT has glitches anyway, don’t get too excited. This one song sounds clean.
one more thing- I know that the image used is not from this show. I could not find any posters/flyers for this show, but I found a ticket stub from 1999 where they both played. Good enough.

Busy day, so a late On This Day in History. When I look for content to post, I check around to see if a concert is on youtube, if a setlist exists, is it on archive or old trade lists, etc. This one seems to be NOWHERE. I hate to use the “uncirculated” tag, but this one sure didn’t seem to get out much.

Big thank to Tim Davenport for sending his cassettes over for digitizing. This one was very clean, but vocal heavy and little to no bass in the mix. I did what I could in Izotope to fix it up.

Here’s an old one that I recorded on DAT a long time ago. Looking back, I wish I had recorded more of these but life was super busy… and money was tight. Here is Ozzy mumbling his way through a loveline. This is mostly Rikki Rachtman and Drew answering questions and Ozzy interjects occasionally.
