Yankee Brutal- Press Club, Sacramento Ca. 9/20/18 Canon HFG40 Rode Video Pro Stereo Mic

Here is my single camera version of Yankee Brutal at Press Club. This is mostly focused on Wesley because this is supposed to be a 4 camera multicam, but 2 of the angles did not turn out so well.
Regardless, Yankee Brutal is probably the best fast pop-punk band in town (think pennywise/bad religion fast melodic punk). They don’t play every week, so if you see them on a bill, go see them. They are damned good and the new songs are next level.

No Fun at All- Press Club, Sacramento Ca. 9/20/18 Multicam Live

Funny story- my friend Agelos asks me to film shows for him, and most of them are those extreme down-tuned screaming hardcore bands. So I was pleasantly surprised to hear these guys- much more up my alley.
It takes about 8 minutes to get the sound dialed, but they sounded amazing. No Fun at All are from Sweden and have not toured in the US for about 20 years. I don’t recall them ever playing sac. It was a rare treat to have them at the tiny Press Club.
I managed to cram 5 cameras into that place!

Sederra- Press Club, Sacramento Ca. 9/20/18 Canon HFG40 Rode Video Pro Stereo mic

Man, what a week (and not just because of the political madness). Sorry for the delay in posting. So I have the kids this week which means that I am busting my ass day and night.. but on top of that, my computer decides to have issues. It’s either faulty memory or a hard drive issue. It appears to be a memory issue, since I can get it to come back after it acts like it can’t find the hard drive.
Anyway, I can’t upload anything or I blue screen. Here are 2 videos already uploaded. More will come next week after I get the supercomputer built… and I finish my frantic backups to blu ray.
Here is one where I left my camera running in between Yankee Brutal and No Fun at All. This is a stationary camera recording Sederra’s set last week. Enjoy!

Here’s one of our local bands who I think is really good, but never seems to get much recognition here. They rarely played shows, back when we actually had them.
This was supposed to be a 4 camera, with a gopro on AJ… but there was a huge purple light shining right in the camera that I could not fix. The drum gopro is pretty funny, too. Their drummer plays so hard, that the gopro moved about 90 degrees as he played through the set due to the vibration. It’s funny to watch him gradually disappear from the frame. Mental note- when the drummer comes with industrial ear muffs on his head, you know it’s gonna be LOUD. haha.

Bastards of Young- Press Club, Sacramento Ca. 8/16/18 Canon HFG40 Rode Video Pro Stereo Mic LIVE

Bastards of Young are going to Fest in Florida this year! They had a benefit show last Thursday to help with travel. They may need to have another bake sale or 2 for plane tickets, because not enough people showed up to the show. 🙂 I thought they’d pack the place, given that they are well-liked around town AND their members give back to the music community so generously (I’m talking to you, Patrick and Sean). If you want to help support them, grab some merch off of their bandcamp site- I’ll post it in the comments.
