The Moans- Press Club, Sacramento Ca. 2/7/19 Canon HFG40 HD Master Live

Here’s The Moans’ set from the show on Thursday night. I think these guys are one of the best Ramones-core bands around (not just Sacramento- anywhere). They played a few songs I didn’t recognize, plus some old favorites. The set was TOO Short at 25 minutes! They were being overly considerate with a 5 band bill on a Thursday night, which tells you how cool they are.
Diana Steele- Danny’s shout out to Bobby is at the 12:30 mark. The audio is a bit low between songs.

it is always such a treat to see The Strange Party play. They only play a couple of times per year, so I try to head out to see them every time. When they open for the Undead, that’s a no-brainer to go. I wish more people thought like that- Press should have been packed last night.

The Undead- Press Club, Sacramento Ca. 2/7/19 LIVE Multicam Rode Audio Misfits Songs Bobby Steele

It is always a thrill when people whose music you have loved for a LONG time let you video their band. It’s even better when someone else (I am not a promoter by trade) brings them to town (thanks Dave!).
It was just amazing that this tour happened at all. A few weeks before the tour was scheduled to start, Bobby suffered a fall in the studio and broke his hip. He had surgery and still played the tour. That is an unbelievable amount of toughness.
The band showcased “Act Your Rage”, since it was the album’s 30th anniversary.

Bastards of Young- Press Club, Sacramento Ca. 12/27/18 Canon HFG40 Master

This was impressive. One of the main guys in the band- Nick Ripley(Guitar/vocals) was very sick and unable to perform (the viruses are really going around in Sac right now)… so they went ahead and performed as a 3 piece, with Pat on vocals for all the songs. I guess you can call this “Patstards of Young” ha ha, err.
You can tell that everyone really stepped it up to cover for Nick’s absence. Well done!

Lightweight- Press Club, Sacramento Ca. 12/27/18 Canon HFG40 Master

What a stacked lineup at Press Club this past Thursday for the Camp Fire benefit. Lightweight kicked it off with their catchy pop punk. Donny (Vocals) was eating honey in between songs- the only other person I have seen do that on stage is Debbie Gunn (Sentinel Beast). Gives you an idea of his vocal style.
