Far- Claremont College, Claremont Ca Mid 90s xfer from Hi8 Master Tape Jonah Matranga

A couple months back, I had posted some great video footage that Steve Rogers (Surrogate Brains) shot of Slayer and some other bands. I was planning on posting more and I realized that my new video capture setup wasn’t working correctly… so I had to rework a ton of tapes. In honor of Steve’s birthday today, I am posting this one. Happy Birthday! Many more Steve videos coming up.
Hey Kevin- check out the drummer’s shirt. How many of those were made??

Live Concert Video

Operation Ivy- KSPC-FM Live in Studio, Claremont Ca. 3/17/88 2nd gen audiotape xfer remixed

Here’s another one from Anonymous’ collection. I am not 100% sure, but I suspect that this tape is the one that was traded out and resulted in endless bootlegs. If that is the case, this should be better quality than what was out there previously. It’s still super raw.
I did my best to bring the drums/guitar down a little and boost the vocals/bass in Izotope. The challenge is that the vocals are all over the place. Buried in places, way too loud in others. Sounds like they were all playing into one mic.

F.O.D. Flag of Democracy- KSPC-FM Live in studio, Claremont Ca. 9/24/87 xfer from 2nd gen cassette

This show was also on the Operation Ivy KSPC tape. Anonymous traded for both way back in the late 80s from the same guy. I wonder how many other KSPC live in the studio sets there were.
This one is totally insane. It sounds like the band were having a big party in the studio.
