Grim Reaper- Blue Lamp, Sacramento Ca. 10/20/18 Multicam Video

Oh hell yes! After a long work day I come home to a finished Grim Reaper multicam video!

This was such a great show. It is so awesome to see Steve Grimmett still doing what he obviously loves to do, despite all of the recent adversity. It didn’t matter that there was a light turnout (there were TEN shows in Sacramento on this day), the band played as if it were a packed house. What a great performance.

Color TV, 09/29/2018, Blue Lamp, GearFest 2018, Video (Live Concert)

The GearFest 2018 site describes Color TV thusly:

LA power pop with well polished technique and style!
Tipper Newton’s modern take on melodic 80s rock and roll.
Tight and energetic vocal hooks. Pure and catchy hits!

I think you oughta just listen to it and enjoy it – words don’t do it justice, it’s great music! Color TV rocks! You won’t regret tuning in to their refreshing, energizing, authentic sound; lyrics I can fully relate to. (KSD)

The Polyorchids- Blue Lamp, Sacramento 9/19/18 Canon HFG40 Rode Video Pro Stereo Mic

I was pumped to see The Polyorchids after such a long time- I think the last time was at their album release show in April. Justin lives in Washington, so they only play a couple times a year now.
this show was special because they did not get to practice after a 5 month layoff. They just hopped on stage and went for it! Here is the performance, warts and all. It’s a bit sloppy, but they were still great.

Freature- Blue Lamp, Sacramento 9/19/18 Canon HFG40 Rode Video Pro Stereo Mic

I usually check bands out before I see them, but this was the first time that I heard Freature. Since 2 members of the O’Mulligans were in the band, I was expecting something a lot different. This is not pop punk- it’s rock but it is really good! I can’t compare them to anyone- very unique.

Sad Girlz Club- Blue Lamp, Sacramento Ca 8/26/18 Multicam with soundboard audio

Here is Sad Girlz Club’s set where they opened for the quasi-Ataris at the blue lamp in August. Man, they were great. I know I always go on about them, but they were really on at this show.
Before anyone gets on me about the imperfect board mix (I think it sounds great), I screwed up and forgot my rode mic so my options were limited. And what’s wrong with Shelby being up in the mix? I love her voice anyway.

Thanks to AJ for the sbd mix (I begged him at the last minute to fix it up for me)
