It looks like there’s a bunch of offerings from these guys here on SMA, so I’m please to have discovered this trawling through my playlists of all live recordings from the Hemlock Tavern in mid-October 2005. Seems to only be these two tracks.
OK, this isn’t technically music, but this was performed at a music festival AND James R. Edmonds (supplier of Farm master soundboards) was the mastermind of this… so let’s run with it. Think of it as a bonus post due to the short B’Last post today. I learned something new- this Autonomous Mutant fest appears to be a guerrilla festival: “AMF is held in a new location each year on public land in Washington, Oregon or Northern California. Directions will be posted just before the festival begins.”.. interesting. This 2005 version was held near Mt. St. Helens, Wa.

James R Edmonds sent this VHS tape over to me last month- even though I don’t know the artists well, it’s nice to see the old Stork Club on video again- no footage of the doll collection behind the bar unfortunately. I think James is the green guy with the big nose. If anyone has info on the performers of both bands, please let me know. Discogs has nada.

It’s a late one tonight, from Todd Nakamine’s collection. This one has a few german TV appearances. I think all are from 1994. Right from A&M’s archive.

This one stayed shelved for 20 years for corrupted audio. Went ahead and got a copy of the footage from Joe before using current technology to do some “damage control”

Woo hoo, it’s Monday. That’s about all the enthusiasm I can muster today. Fabulous Disaster was an SF-based punk band that put out 4 albums along with a bunch of split releases with others. Man, I don’t understand why they didn’t get bigger- this is great melodic punk. This performance took place right after Cinder from Tilt joined the band. Nice fit for her vocal style.

I learned something new with this tape. I didn’t know that the 4 guys from American Steel added a keyboard player in 2002 and their new sound was so different, they decided to change their name. They put out a couple of albums and EP’s under the Communique name. Cool! I checked youtube and see a grand total of zero live shows posted of the band, so this one might be somewhat of a rarity. Thanks Rick!

I don’t have much info on this band- they were an east bay punk band from the late 90s into the early 2000’s. The released a few CD’s and a 7″ before fading away. One member was Ange Andrews, who went on to play in the Black Furies. That’s all I’ve got about them.
