Here’s Victims Family’s opening set for the Mr. Bungle show. I got word that I got a ticket a few hours before the show, and after some back and forth with security, I made it into the venue about 10min before VF started playing. It was really strange to see VF play in such a large venue. I am seen them many (20?) times in small clubs.

Thanks to audio taper Jamie Lutch, we now have really nice Mr. Bungle audio for the 2/8/20 show that I filmed. For the past month-plus, we have been hard at work getting this audio to synch with the video- it would not cooperate. Huge thanks to Tromster for working so long and hard to make this synch, and to Jamie for taping the show!

Here is a first look at the Mr. Bungle show from last Saturday night. I need to recover another 5-10 minutes of the show (including my favorite song of the set, The Crumbsuckers’ Sit There), plus I need to degrain it and hopefully find a better audio source to synch to it. Stay tuned. Regardlerss, this turned out pretty damned nice. I LOVE the ZS200. So I went into this with no expectations. I figured they’d play the demo and a few covers as a goof and be done. I did NOT expect for my face to be completely melted off. What an amazing show- you MUST GO if you have the opportunity. Trey is a beast on lead guitar, Lombardo is (imho) the best metal drummer ever, and it was obvious they were all having a blast. Scott never stopped smiling! I was able to cut down on the amount of out of focus shots by turning on continuous AF, but I realized it was eating batteries like crazy so I had to shut it off for the last 15-20 min. MVP of the night includes the person who got me tickets (you know who you are- thanks!) and Daniel Hague, who not only gave up his spot to me so I could film, but he also stood in the merch line so I could get a shirt! Thank you so much.
