I haven’t gotten this one edited yet. It was one of those situations where nothing goes right. The gopro on Brian’s side of the stage didn’t work so I only have 2 good angles, plus a gopro on Scott Danbom when he is onstage. Maybe I’ll get them edited one day.

This set closed out our the weekend trip to Texas, and it was perfect. I had never seen Brent solo, so this was a special treat. With that said, a lot went wrong with the cameras. The gopro on Brian’s side decided to shut off. The main angle (mounted to a pole) cut Brian off a bit, but the stage lighting was very uneven and he was in extremely low blue light… so I left it as is. It’s still cool, just being picky. Special guests include Scott Danbom and Ian Moore

Me and my friend “Anonymous” flew to Texas to see a weekend’s worth of shows last month. Out of all the video I shot, this one came out the best by far. It’s rare when you do 8 sources (6 cameras + audience + soundboard) and nothing goes wrong. It was really nice seeing Brent and Slobberbone again- great set with great selection of covers.

Garrett C. Capps played right before Slobberbone’s set on Saturday night. I was busy setting up 6 cameras for Slobberbone, so this was the only footage I got. Stationary pole footage. Sorry!

I pulled this one for today’s On This Date in History because there isn’t enough Drams out there- they were such a great band. For those who missed it, the Drams were 3/4 of Slobberbone(everyone except Brian) along with Chad Stockslager and Keith Killoren from Budapest one. One excellent album in the mid-2000’s and then done.
The band does pretty much the entire album and covers by Slobberbone, Buffalo Springfield, and Chris Bell(Big Star).
Also, Adam Richards (the taper here) deserves some recognition for all of his Dallas area recordings, going way back to the late 90s I believe. Adam, are you still recording stuff?
Man, these sound professional mics sound great. Maybe I should have bought these and saved myself a couple grand. haha.

Aw crap, I forgot to trim the beginning. Fwd to 1:30 for the start of the show. Here’s another Slobberbone audio only gem. This starts as an acoustic set with Scott Danbom on violin and then moves into the rock. Pretty good mix that I was able to help a bit in Izotope. The 2nd set has not one, but TWO Uncle Tupelo covers. RIP Jess. Banjo sounds great on this one.

Forgot to trim again- forward to 1 minute in. The shower of Slobberbone/Drams posts for Jess continues. 90 minute set with a lot of cool covers, including 2 uncle tupelo songs and the Merle Travis cover “Dark as a Dungeon”. Imagine seeing an hour-long set, and then seeing this one! That’s a lotta Slobberbone. We think that this show was taped by George “Lowdog” Savage, I’ll email him and let him know we uploaded this. Photo was pulled from Lance Davis’ Adios Lounge blog.
