Airborne- Shire Road Pub, Sacramento Ca 1970s xfer from low gen soundboard tape

It’s collections time! On This Date later today because I forgot to prep it.
This is from Dennis Newhall’s collection of archival Sacramento recordings- this one is once again from Shire Road Pub. The SRP was the rock club in suburban Sac/foothill farms for the 70s and 80s. The building is still there, the roof is missing but it looks like there might be some construction happening there…

This one has a little hiss, but Izotope’s spectral denoise did the trick.

Woodwork- Days Gone By Demo, Sacramento Mid-1970’s xfer from low gen audio cassette Lost Media!

I have been looking forward to posting this one from Dennis Newhall’s collection ever since I digitized it. Like I mentioned before, My friends and I have early 80s-now covered pretty well. The 70’s and back have been a big black hole. In comes Dennis’ tapes to help fill some gaps.

Dennis & I looked around online, but there is very little documented about this band. There are some calendars showing week-long residencies at Shire Road Pub in April and June of 1975.

This band hits just right for me- soft rock with a pedal steel. Kinda Bread-like but less boring to my ears. Damn, I love this. I wish I knew more about them.
